Changelog

Yang baru di lovd.

Fitur baru, peningkatan, dan perbaikan. Kami merilis pembaruan kecil hampir setiap hari.

Improved

Move the toolbar

Drag the toolbar to any of eight spots around a view, or right-click to pick one. Lovd remembers where you put it. On a phone it stays within thumb reach at the bottom.

Keyboard shortcuts

Press ? to see every shortcut for the view you are pointing at, or open the list from your user menu. In a split layout, keys go to the panel under your pointer instead of firing in both.

New

Easier logins

When you get logged out, Lovd will suggest previously used accounts or login methods for speedier entry.

It only ever remembers on your own device, and only who you are, never your password. You can clear it from a device by tapping the X after logging out.

Improved

Zoom button on every photo

Every photo in your feed and gallery now has its own zoom button, right next to the lov heart. Tap it to open that picture full screen.

Arrows that follow your view

When you step through photos with the next and previous arrows, they now move in the same order you see on screen, so they always take you where you expect.

Improved

Tidier family tree

Your family tree now arranges itself with more care. Each side of the family lands where you'd expect, related people stay grouped together, and the empty gaps between branches are closed up.

Person cards are cleaner too, giving names more room and tucking buttons away until you hover.

Improved

Sharper timeline

Photos on the timeline now fill their frames without being stretched or squashed. Each one is scaled from its own proportions and cropped to fit, so faces and scenes look right at every zoom level.

While a picture is still loading, its spot shows a small coloured dot instead of an empty hole, then fades into place when it's ready. Zooming through your busiest years is smoother too, even with thousands of photos in one period.

Improved

Pinch to resize

On a touchscreen or trackpad you can now pinch the gallery to change how big the thumbnails are. Spread two fingers for fewer, larger photos, or pinch in to fit more on screen. It steps through the same sizes as the toolbar buttons, so gestures and controls stay in sync.

Map cluster slider

The map's clustering control is now a slider instead of an on or off toggle. Slide toward finer detail to break big groups of photos into smaller ones, or toward coarser to gather them back up.

New

A public changelog

Lovd now has a public changelog, the page you're reading right now. We ship small improvements every day, and from today you can follow along here. You'll also find a What's new entry in your account menu inside the app.

Party hats

On each person and Lovd One's birthday, they now get a festive party hat on their avatar throughout the app. Happy 31st Birthday to me!

Improved

Richer previews

Hovering a photo on the calendar, the map, or in the gallery now shows the same preview as the timeline: a framed picture with its date and the people in it. On the map, your scroll wheel keeps zooming even while a preview is open.

Friendlier error page

If you land on a missing page, or something goes wrong, you'll now see a warm little page with a misplaced polaroid and clear buttons back to your photos.

New

Meet the Curator plan

There's a new Curator plan for growing photo collections: 5GB of storage for €1/month (or €8/year). It sits between the free plan and Archivist. See all plans on the pricing page.

Descriptions at upload

You can now write a description while you upload a photo, alongside the date and location. Tell the story behind a picture as you add it, with no need to come back and edit it later.

Tours follow your account

The in-app tours now remember what you've already seen on your account, so a new phone or a cleared browser won't show you the same tips again.

New

Richer splash screen

Your Lovd app now greets you with a hand drawn wordmark, animated hearts, and texture, with tips to read while it loads.

Find us on Instagram

There's now a link to our Instagram (@lovdsupport) in the footer. Follow along for product updates and to see how families are using Lovd.

Improved

Safer invites and logouts

We fixed a case where an invite could be claimed more than once, and accepting an invite is now an explicit step so nobody joins by accident on a shared device. When you log out on a shared device, everything stored there is cleared, so the next person can't see your photos or private data.

Faster collection list

Your collection list now appears straight away, without the flash of empty sections.

Improved

Update recovery

If an update ever leaves the app stuck in a reload loop, Lovd now notices, clears the broken state, and gets you back to a working app on its own.

You no longer need to clear your browser data by hand.

Improved

Theme change notifications

When you switch the app between light and dark, Lovd now confirms it with a notification. If something goes wrong, you'll see an error message instead.

New

Simpler invites

Merging a Lovd One placeholder into a real account now works with a shareable link, no email needed. You can bundle a collection invite and relationships into one link, and a single "Invite to Lovd" panel handles both email and link invites.

Family graph editing

On the People page, click the connection line between two people and choose "Edit relationship" to change how they are related, without deleting and recreating it. However you arrange people is saved in your browser and stays put across reloads and collection switches, and "Reset layout" brings back the automatic arrangement.

New

Collection covers

Tap the star on any photo in a post to make it the collection's cover. It floats to the top and represents the collection on cards across the app, with every view kept in sync.

Timeline on older devices

The timeline now adapts to your device. Lower end phones and tablets get a lighter version that reduces stuttering and battery drain.

Improved

Steadier timeline

The timeline no longer shimmers or jitters as you pan and zoom, because photos now keep stable positions. They still arrange themselves to avoid overlaps, and you can set photo size separately from the zoom level.

Prominent photos appear as thumbnails, while busy periods show as small dots.

Improved

Photo collages

Posts with four or more photos now show as a 2x2 collage grid in your calendar day cells and gallery views, so multi photo moments are quicker to browse.

Calendar navigation

A "Today" button jumps straight to the current date, and new buttons move you forward and back a full year at a time. The month and year views now switch with icon tabs.

New

Birthdays in the calendar

Birthdays of your family members now show as highlighted days in the calendar, colored by their relationship to you. Filter by people to focus on the birthdays you want.

New

People page views

The People page now switches between a graph view of your family tree, with zoom, layout, and spacing controls, and a grid of cards. Arrange nodes by hand and filter relationships in the graph, or use the cards for contact info, photo counts, and quick actions.

People in your feed

Each post in your home feed now shows the people behind it at the top: the photo's creator, anyone tagged as an event attendee, and family or loved ones tagged in the photo. Hover an avatar to see that person's profile.

New

Demo collection and tour

New accounts now start with a demo collection of sample photos and people to explore, plus a guided tour of the app's key features. You can hide the demo collections whenever you like once you start adding your own photos.
