Notification Settings

Control which emails you receive from lovd. We believe in minimal, useful notifications - no spam, ever.

Accessing Notification Settings

1. Click your profile picture in the top right
2. Select Account from the menu
3. Click Notifications in the sidebar

Or go directly to lovd.app/account/notifications.

Email Notifications

Collection Invites

When someone invites you to join their collection, you can receive an email notification.

When enabled:

• You'll get an email when invited to a collection
• The email includes who invited you and the collection name
• You can accept or decline directly from the email

When disabled:

• You won't receive emails for collection invites
• You can still see invites in the app under Notifications

Event Invites

When someone invites you to an event (birthday, anniversary, etc.), you can receive an email notification.

When enabled:

• You'll get an email when invited to an event
• The email includes event details (date, location, etc.)
• You can RSVP directly from the email

When disabled:

• You won't receive emails for event invites
• You can still see invites in the app under Notifications

In-App Notifications

Regardless of your email settings, you'll always see notifications in the app:

1. Click the bell icon in the top navigation
2. View all pending invites and updates
3. Accept, decline, or dismiss notifications

Transactional Emails

Some emails can't be disabled as they're essential for your account:

• Password reset - When you request to reset your password
• Email verification - When you change your email address
• Account security - Suspicious login attempts or security alerts
• Billing receipts - Payment confirmations for paid plans

Tips

Too Many Emails?

If you're getting too many emails:

1. Go to Account → Notifications
2. Disable the categories you don't need
3. You can always check the app for updates instead

Missing Emails?

If you're not receiving expected emails:

1. Check your spam/junk folder
2. Add noreply@lovd.app to your contacts
3. Make sure the notification type is enabled in settings
