Account settings
Your Lovd account holds your profile, preferences and subscription, along with all your collections and photos.
Opening account settings
Select your profile picture (top right) and choose Account settings, or go straight to . You land on Overview: a card for each section showing where things stand (your plan, how much storage you've used, which notifications are on) with a shortcut to the thing you're most likely there to do.
What's in each section
- Profile: profile picture, name, handle (@username), birthday, birthplace and email. More about your profile
- Subscription: your plan, the other plans, and your billing history and invoices. More about plans and billing
- Storage: how much you've used, and the default upload quality. More about storage
- Appearance: colour mode (light, dark or system), highlight and background colours, language, date format and the film-grain effect. Changes save on their own, and Appearance saved confirms it. In the Lovd iPhone app, App icon can also match your Home Screen icon to your highlight colour.
- Privacy: tagging and anonymous usage analytics. More about privacy
- Notifications: which notifications reach you by push and by email, and which collections you've muted. More about notifications
- Data: export everything, or delete your account. More about your data
In the Lovd phone app you'll also see Recent photos, which suggests photos you've taken lately so you can add them quickly.
Language
Your account language lives under Appearance → Language. It sets the language of the app and of the emails we send you, and it saves (and switches the interface) as soon as you pick one.
The language button in the user menu, next to your name, is a quick switch for the device you're on. It changes what you see straight away, without touching your account setting or your email language.
On a device where you haven't picked a language, Lovd opens in your browser's language, and when you log in it switches to your account language. Once you've picked one on a device with either control, that device keeps it.
Security
Password
To change your password, log out and open the . Expand Log in with email, select Forgot? beside the password field and enter your email. We'll send you a link to set a new password.
Two-factor authentication and active sessions
Not available yet. Both are planned.
Privacy and your data
We use PostHog for anonymous product analytics, to see which features people use and where they get stuck. We never collect what's in your photos, and we never sell your data. You can switch analytics off any time in .
If you're not logged in, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject the non-essential ones or choose for yourself. Once you're logged in, analytics is managed from Privacy settings instead.
You can export your data whenever you like. If you delete your account, you have 7 days to change your mind; after that your data is removed from our active systems, and backups are purged within 90 days.
