Account Settings
Your Lovd account holds your profile, preferences, subscription, and all your collections and photos.
Opening account settings
Click your profile picture (top right), open Account settings, and pick a section, or go straight to . Either way you land on Profile by default.
Settings sections
- Profile: profile picture, display name, handle (@username), and email. Docs: Profile
- Subscription: view your plan, upgrade or downgrade, and open the Storage and Billing sub-pages. Docs: Subscription
- Appearance: colour mode (light, dark, or system), highlight and background colours, border radius, language, date format, and the film-grain effect. Changes save on their own; a toast confirms with Appearance saved.
- Privacy: control tagging and toggle anonymous usage analytics. Docs: Privacy
- Notifications: choose which email notifications you receive (collection invites, event invites). Docs: Notifications
- Data: request a full export of your photos and metadata (GDPR data portability). Docs: Data export
Storage usage lives under Subscription → Storage. Learn more about Storage
Language
Your account language lives under Appearance, in the Language picker. It sets the language of the app and of the email we send you, and it saves as soon as you pick one, switching the interface at the same time.
There is also a language button in the user menu, next to your name. That one is a quick switch for the device you're on: it changes what you see straight away without touching the account setting or the language of your email.

Password
To change your password, log out and open the . Expand Log in with email, click Forgot? beside the Password field, and enter your email. We'll send a reset link; follow it to set a new password.

Anonymous product analytics
We use PostHog to see which features people use and where they get stuck. We never collect photo content or sell your data. Logged-in users can opt out anytime in .
Cookie consent
On your first visit you'll see a cookie banner where you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential ones, or customize your choice. Once logged in, manage analytics from your Privacy settings instead.
Your data
- Export anytime. Download your photos and metadata whenever you want, from the Data section.
- Permanent deletion. Account deletion has a 7-day cancellation window. After that your data is removed from active systems, and backups are purged within 90 days.
