Profile Settings
Your Profile
Your profile is how you appear to others on lovd: your name, handle, profile picture, and optional birthday and birthplace.
To open it, click your profile picture in the top right, choose Account Settings → Profile, or go straight to lovd.app/account/profile.
Edit any field, then click Save Changes at the top of the page to apply everything at once.
Profile Picture
To set or replace your photo, click Choose Photo, pick an image, then Save Changes.
- Any common image format works (JPEG, PNG, WebP, and more). We process it automatically into an optimized square avatar.
- Maximum file size: 5 MB.
- A square image at least 200×200 pixels looks best.
To remove your picture entirely (rather than replacing it), email support@lovd.app.
Handle (@username)
Your handle is your unique username, shown as @yourhandle. It must:
- Be 3–30 characters
- Start with a letter
- Contain only letters, numbers, and underscores
- Not already be taken
Type a new handle in the Handle field and lovd checks availability as you type. A green check means it's free; an error explains what to fix. Click Save Changes to apply.
Display Name
Your first and last name appear on your profile, in collection member lists, in activity feeds, and when others tag you in photos. Use your real name or a nickname; either is fine.
Birthday and Birthplace
These optional fields personalize your profile and timeline.
- Birthday: pick a date with the calendar input.
- Birthplace: start typing a place and select it from the location search.
Email Address
Your email is used for login, account recovery, notifications you've enabled, and billing receipts on paid plans.
