Creating Your Account
Pick Your Handle First
Every sign-up starts with a handle at the top of the . It's your @username (e.g. @jane or @smith_family) and how family and friends find you. Enter one and we check availability as you type. You then tick the box to confirm you're at least 16 and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Once your handle is available and the box is ticked, the sign-up buttons unlock. Pick whichever is easiest:
One tap with your Google account. No password, no verification.
Apple
One tap with your Apple ID. No password, no verification. You can share or hide your email.

Sign Up with Google or Apple
Open the registration page
Go to .
Choose your handle and accept the terms
Enter an available handle and tick the age and terms box. This unlocks the buttons.
Tap "Sign up with Google" or "Sign up with Apple"
You'll be sent to the provider's sign-in page.
Choose your account
Pick the account you want to use. With Apple you can share or hide your email.
You're in
No verification needed. We claim the handle you picked and take you straight to your collections.

Open the registration page
Go to .
Choose your handle and accept the terms
Enter an available handle and tick the age and terms box.
Open "Sign up with email"
Expand the email section under the Google and Apple buttons, then enter your email address and a password (at least 8 characters).
Complete the security check
A quick check confirms you're a real person.
Verify your email
Tap Create an account. We send a verification link; click it to activate your account and land on your collections.
After You Sign Up
Because you pick your handle during registration, verified sign-ups go straight to your collections, ready to start. You can round out your profile whenever you like from Profile settings:
- Profile photo: optional, but helps people recognise you.
- Name: optional first and last name so family and friends can find you.
- Birthday and birthplace: optional. These help build your family timeline and map.
If you signed up with Google or Apple without a handle set (or it was taken while you were signing in), we ask you to pick one on a quick setup step before your collections.
Then you're ready to create your first collection.
