Creating Your Account
Ways to Sign Up
All three options are on the registration page. Pick whichever is easiest:
Any email address. You'll verify it with a link.
One click with your Google account. No password, no verification.
Apple
One click with your Apple ID. No password, no verification. You can share or hide your email.
Sign Up with Email
Open the registration page
Go to lovd.app/register.
Enter your details
- Email address
- Password (at least 8 characters)
- First and last name (optional)
- Tick the box to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Complete the security check
A quick check confirms you're a real person.
Verify your email
We send a verification link. Click it to activate your account.
Set up your profile
Choose your handle and add a photo and name (see ).
Sign Up with Google or Apple
Open the registration page
Go to lovd.app/register.
Tap "Register with Google" or "Register with Apple"
You'll be sent to the provider's sign-in page.
Choose your account
Pick the account you want to use. With Apple you can share or hide your email.
You're in
No verification needed, so go straight to setting up your profile.
After You Sign Up
You'll be asked to set up your profile:
- Handle: your @username (e.g.
@janeor@smith_family). 3–30 characters, must start with a letter, and can contain letters, numbers, and underscores. We check availability as you type. - Profile photo: optional, but helps people recognise you.
- Name: optional first and last name so family and friends can find you.
- Birthday and birthplace: optional, under "More details". These help build your family timeline and map.
Then you're ready to create your first collection.
