Getting started

Creating Your First Collection

Set up a collection to start sharing photos with the people you choose.

What's a Collection?

A collection is a private space for sharing photos with a specific group of people. Think of it as a "sharing circle."

Family

For parents, siblings, grandparents - everyone in your family.

Friends

For your uni mates, work friends, or the group chat crew.

Couple

Just for you and your partner. Keep your memories private.

Personal

Just for you. Great for backing up photos you don't want to share.

You can create as many collections as you need. Most people start with one or two and add more over time.

How to Create a Collection

Open lovd and tap Collections

You'll find this in the main menu. If you're brand new, you'll see a welcome screen with a "Create Collection" button.

Tap "New Collection"

Look for the button at the top of your collections list.

Choose an icon

Pick something that represents your collection - a house for Family, a heart for your partner, etc.

Give it a name

Keep it simple: "Family", "Uni Friends", "Spain 2024", or whatever makes sense to you.

Tap Create

That's it! Your collection is ready.

What's Next?

Now that you have a collection, you can:

Add your first post

Upload some photos and create your first memory.

Invite people

Share your collection with family or friends.

Collection Ideas

Not sure what to create? Here are some popular choices:

  • "Family" - The go-to for most people. Add parents, kids, siblings.
  • "Year Holidays" - One collection per year's holidays and trips.
  • "Kids" - Share photos of the children with grandparents and relatives.
  • "Just Us" - A private collection for you and your partner.
  • "Event Name" - For a wedding, party, or reunion - invite the guests so everyone can add their photos.

Good to Know

Posts can live in multiple collections. If you have a photo from Christmas that you want in both "Family" and "2024 Holidays", that's easy - just add it to both.

Collections are private by default. No one can see your photos until you invite them. You stay in control.
