Cancelling Your Subscription

How to cancel your subscription and what happens to your data.

How to Cancel

Cancelling is self-service and takes about three clicks - no emails, no phone calls, no retention hoops. You'll do it all from your Billing page. Here's exactly what you'll see at each step.

Open Account → Subscription

Open the user menu, go to Account Settings, and expand the Subscription section in the sidebar.

Go to the Billing tab

Open your Billing page to see your current plan, renewal date, and price.

Cancel and confirm

Click Cancel Subscription. A confirmation shows your current plan and the date your access runs until. Click Cancel Subscription to confirm, or Keep Subscription to back out.

Your subscription is then marked as Cancelling. It stays fully active until the end of your current billing period, then stops renewing.

What Happens After Cancellation

  • You keep full access (including uploads) until your billing period ends.
  • There is no refund for the remaining paid time.
  • At period end you revert to the Explorer plan (500 MB), and your collections and photos stay intact.

Your 90-Day Grace Period

When your paid period ends, you enter a 90-day read-only grace period. During this window you can:

  • View all your photos and collections.
  • Download and export your content.
  • Not upload new photos (uploads are blocked until you resubscribe).

Before the 90 days are up, we send reminder emails and make a complete export of your content available to download. Resubscribe at any point to restore full access and reopen uploads. If you don't resubscribe, your content is removed after a final notification.

If You're Over the Free Limit

If your storage exceeds 500 MB after cancellation, you can still view and download everything during the grace period, but you can't upload until you delete enough content to fit under 500 MB or resubscribe.

Resubscribing

You can come back at any time.

Before your period ends

While your subscription is still active (marked Cancelling), go to Account → Subscription → Billing and click Resubscribe. Billing continues as normal, with no new checkout.

After your period ends

If your subscription has expired but you're still in the grace period, go to Account → Subscription, choose a plan, and complete checkout. Access is restored instantly.

Data After Cancellation

During the grace period your data is preserved exactly as it was:

  • Collections stay unchanged.
  • Photos remain viewable and downloadable.
  • Shared access continues for people you invited.

After the grace period ends, content is removed. Resubscribing before removal restores full access. To delete your data sooner, see Data Deletion.
